In this snippet from A Love More Precious Than Diamonds, it is twenty years on from Danny’s sexual awakening at the hands of the older woman, Gem. Dan, as he is now known, is a successful Financial Management Executive in New York and handles the investments of many wealthy New York women, some of whom try to marry him off, or entice him to one of their charity events, but he is determinedly single, despite having his pick of some very beautiful women.
I tried not to look back in my life too much, but very occasionally, my mind would stray to a beautiful woman with dark brown shining hair and a love of diamonds, who had left an indelible mark on my heart. I hoped that I hadn’t left an indelible mark on her bottom. I had never heard from either Gem or Victor after the three wonderful weeks I had spent with Gem twenty years earlier. By my calculation, she would now be in her late fifties and I wondered if she would still be as beautiful, and if she still liked having her bottom spanked as much. Perhaps she was the reason why I had never been able to fall in love and settle down with one woman, as most of my friends managed. Perhaps she had been so perfect that she had spoiled me for everyone else.
She had certainly formed my tastes as far as sex was concerned. I did have so-called ‘vanilla’ relationships with some of the women I met, and I found them quite enjoyable. But what I found more exciting were the relationships I had where the boundaries were stretched further. Where the women liked me to be in control and were happy to be spanked.
Danny was a 21-year-old student when he met Gem in London in 1992. She was the most beautiful, sensuous and sexy woman he had ever met, and she was some years older and married to a wealthy businessman. So why did she pick him from all the men she might have chosen?
Their affair was brief and dramatic, and introduced Danny to sexual passion, the like of which he had never experienced before. It also introduced him to the kind of woman who desired control and discipline in her life. Even though the affair lasted just a few weeks, it changed his life and changed his perception of the type of woman he wanted.
Twenty years later he met a young woman and, for the first time in his life, he fell in love; but fate was not kind, and the events of twenty years earlier came back to haunt him as he realised that he might lose the woman of his dreams. He was powerless to act. He could not rewrite his life history.

Sounds like he needs to look her up to put this to rest, or not.

I don’t think he still thinks of her all the time – just occasionally something or someone reminds him. It’s just that she changed him in respect to women.

Nice snippet. He’s certainly let her rule his life. Wonder what got him thinking about her.

Thanks, Diane. I don’t think she has ruled his life, although he occasionally remembers her. I’m setting the scene for an event that is about to happen.
